J&K Hockey players in India U-18 Camp


In yet another achievement, two young players from J&K have been made part of the India under-18 camps considering their performance in the recently held National Championships.

The India under-18 teamsprepare for the Under-18 Asia Cup being held at Kakamigahara in Japan from May 29to June six.

“Two players, Varun Singh and Akshara Dutta have been picked, considering their performance in the recently held Sub-Junior National Championships at Rajgeer and Ranchi, for the India camps before Und-er-18 Asia Cup,” informed general secretary of the Hockey J&K, Dr Taran Singh.

While Varunpreet Singh earned man of the match title during the Nationals, Akshara Dutta, was the top scorer of the pool and earned two player of the match awards during the championship. The camp for the women shall be held at Bhopal under the national coach Rani.

 It is worth to mention here that after taking over in May 2025 Hockey J&K’s present team has achieved  non achievable goals including organizing many tournaments of different age groups in different district of J&K.
